A cheese-making company in Kiel received some awards during the World Championship Cheese Contest in Madison last week.
Henning Cheese received three awards, including 2nd place for their aged cheddar and dragon’s breath cheddar, as well as 3rd place for their Mango Fire Cheddar.
Co-Owner Rebekah Henschel says Henning is honored to be recognized on the world stage and proud to share the achievements with the community and customers.
The Kiel company was part of nearly 3,400 entries submitted by cheesemakers from around the globe, with the contest showcasing the highest level of craftsmanship and innovation in the cheese industry.
Hennings started in Kiel around 1914 after Otto Henning received his cheesemaking license in Madison.
