The City of Two Rivers is letting residents know about future absentee voting happening at assisted living facilities.
Special Voting Deputies appointed by the city will be administering absentee voting for the residents of the facilities for the Spring Election on Tuesday, March 24th.
The deputies will be at Northland Lodge on Garfield Street at 9:00 a.m., followed by Wisteria Haus at 9:30 a.m. and Meadow View Assisted Living at 10:00 a.m.
Any qualified elector who is unable or unwilling to appear at the polling place on Election Day can request to vote absentee.
Observers are allowed to observe the process of absentee ballot distribution in common areas of the home, facility, or complex.
But they can only come from the two recognized political parties whose candidates for governor or president received the greatest number of votes in the municipality at the most recent general election.
Each party wishing to have an observer present can submit a name of a person to Two Rivers City Clerk Amanda Baryenbruch or the board of election commissioners no later than the close of business on the last business day before the visit.
More information can be found by contacting the city clerkâs office at 920-793-5526.
