A new community dedicated to providing homes for those suffering from dementia is offering tours.
Livasu, or Living As Usual, created by Dementia Innovations, started in February, showing the homes that are now available for purchase, with the village officially opening in July.
The next tours for the homes will be on Saturday, March 21st, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and Thursday, March 26th, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with short presentations about the community included.
Ground was broken in May last year for Livasu and includes 124 individually owned homes, a village center with an open-to-the-public restaurant, theater, grocery store, and more.
The community was built in the Town of Wilson at 5933 S. Business Drive and is the only one-of-its-kind in the United States.
