A woman has been arrested for her role in a February theft in Manitowoc.
Manitowoc police were called to the Manitowoc Meijer store at 9:30 a.m. on February 28th on a report of a retail theft that had occurred on February 19th.
The officer learned that workers deterred two individuals from going through with a theft on February 20th, which led them to review previous security camera footage.
On the footage, a male suspect was seen entering the store with a female suspect, and making their way to the sporting goods, Easter, toy, and trading card sections of the store, and placing items in a shopping cart.
The woman would then separate herself from the man, going to the grocery section while the man left the store. He would then pick up the since-abandoned cart and leave without paying.
In total, the duo took seven boxes of football cards, 26 Pokémon-related items, two butane refills, and two Easter totes.
Both individuals were identified as a 31-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, who was arrested on March 5th for a probation hold.
The investigating officer interviewed her, and she admitted her involvement in the theft. She has been charged with Felony Retail Theft and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
The man was also located over the weekend, after a gun was found under a pillow in a Manitowoc hotel.
