Three people were arrested over the weekend after a multi-county pursuit.
It all started Sunday afternoon (March 8th) on Highway 41 near North Military Road in the City of Fond du Lac, where a deputy with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department spotted a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed and swerving in and out of traffic.
The deputy attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle sped off, leading multiple deputies into Dodge County.
The driver was able to avoid a tire deflation device deployed by Dodge County deputies, but lost control of the vehicle and became entangled in the median barrier near Highway 28.
No one was injured in the 17.2-mile chase, and no other vehicles were damaged.
The 39-year-old male driver from Watertown had eight open felony cases and a misdemeanor traffic case, all of which he also had active warrants on.
He was arrested on six additional charges, including Fleeing or Eluding an Officer, 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Cocaine, and THC.
A 23-year-old Milwaukee man who was riding in the front seat and a 50-year-old Watertown man riding in the back seat were each charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Cocaine, and THC as parties to the crime.
