A man is facing a homicide charge in connection with a deadly shooting in Milwaukee’s Deer District.
Prosecutors say 26-year-old Demetris Riley is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the death of 47-year-old Sharita Barber.
Riley allegedly shot Barber last week during a confrontation over a car crash.
The criminal complaint states Riley admitted to firing at Barber and driving over her as he fled the scene.
Riley later turned himself in to the police and made his initial appearance in Milwaukee County court on Friday.
