A Chilton woman has entered a plea in a deadly drunk driving accident.
WBAY reports that 58-year-old Vickey Fesing pleaded not guilty to two counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and two counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle with a prohibited alcohol concentration during a Calumet County Court hearing last Friday.
The court allowed Fesing to get a $250,000 signature bond to guarantee she’ll be at future court hearings.
The deadly crash allegedly involved Fesing’s SUV hitting a pickup truck on Highway 32/57 near Shady Lane Drive in the Town of Charleston back in March last year.
The accident ended up killing Nancy and Ronald Woelfel of New Holstein.
The investigation determined the 58-year-old suspect crossed the center line and was found to have a BAC of .239.
A later test of her BAC by the Wisconsin Crime Lab was .171. Fesing must have a GPS and must maintain absolute sobriety.
Conditions of her bond also include no visiting taverns, not operating a motor vehicle, and not leaving the state of Wisconsin.
She will return to court on April 10th for a status conference.
