A Two Rivers teen charged in a shooting outside of a Manitowoc bar is being bound over for trial.
In Manitowoc County court yesterday (March 5th), the attorney for 16-year-old Nicholas Antonio waived his preliminary hearing and entered a plea of not guilty to all seven counts he faces.
Judge Robert Dewane found probable cause in the case and bound Antonio over for trial.
The 16-year-old will return to court on May 11th for a scheduling conference.
Manitowoc Police were called to the area of Replay Bar in the 1500 block of Madison Street on a report of a shooting.
According to a criminal complaint, the 30-year-old shooting victim was the boyfriend of the mother of Antonio.
The complaint also alleges that Antonio and the victim fought over the gun after the teen pulled it out of a coat.
The victim fell to the ground, which is when he was shot one time.
The criminal complaint also says that Antonio and the victim did not get along, and he wanted to do something about it that night.
The 16-year-old was later found at a home on 7th Street in Manitowoc before being taken to the Sheboygan County Detention Center.
He’s facing charges including attempted 1st-degree intentional homicide, 1st-degree recklessly endangering safety, intentional pointing of a firearm, battery, disorderly conduct, and possession of a weapon by someone under 18.
