UPDATE:
The Manitowoc Police Department has given an update on what was called a possible abduction earlier this morning.
A statement from Lieutenant Mark Schroeder explains that it’s been determined that the reported incident was not an abduction, but a misunderstanding between two juveniles.
The department thanked those who called and the parents involved.
Earlier today (March 6th), Manitowoc Police released a press release saying that they were called to the 500 block of N. 7th Street for a report that a man tried to grab a child and chased after that child as they rode away on a scooter.
