A Milwaukee police officer is turning in his badge over allegations of misusing department equipment.
The department says Josue Ayala resigned after being charged with attempted misconduct in public office.
Ayala is accused of using a Flock camera system on-duty to check a former dating partner’s license plate more than 100 times, while also checking that person’s former partner dozens of times.
The former officer could face nine years in prison if found guilty.
