Six Sheboygan County cheesemakers are competing at the World Championship Cheese Contest this week.
The preliminary rounds of judging began yesterday and continue today (March 4th) at the Monona Terrace Community & Convention Center with nearly 3,400 entries across 150 classes.
Representing Sheboygan County are Plymouth-based Sartori Company and Great Lakes Cheese, Masters Gallery Foods of Oostburg and Plymouth, and Sheboygan-based Deer Creek Cheese, Weyauwega Cheese, and Old World Creamery.
The 2026 World Champion announcement will be livestreamed on Thursday, starting at 2:00 at WorldChampionCheese.org and on the World Championship Cheese Contest Facebook page.
