
Several local and area teams begin their trek to the Kohl Center in Madison later this month as WIAA boys’ basketball regionals begin tonight.
In Division One, Manitowoc Lincoln will open at home against Oconomowoc.
The Ships finished the regular season at 9-15 and struggled down the stretch, while the visiting Raccoons finished last in the Classic Eight Conference and posted a regular season record of 6-18.

In Division Four, Valders travels to Fond Du Lac to battle St. Mary’s Springs.
The Vikings finished with a record of 10-14 but played better basketball down the stretch, winning three straight and five of their last six games.
Juniors Max Staudinger and Carson Wassmer lead the way, averaging 19 and nearly 16 points per game, respectively.
Wassmer has improved dramatically over the course of the season, shooting nearly 66 percent from the field and better than 75 percent from the free-throw line.
Senior Jacob Olson has also contributed mightily to the recent stretch of Vikings success.
He averages 14 points per game and leads Valders in shooting better than 77 percent from the charity stripe.
The Ledgers were 9 and 15 during the regular season, finishing sixth in the tough Flyway Conference.
They are led by Junior Joey Coon and senior Benjamin Baker, who average fifteen points per game, and junior Jack Judkins, who scores about 10.5 points per game.

Elsewhere in Division Four, Mishicot visits Koher, New Holstein heads to Omro, and Southern Door visits Algoma.
In Division Five, Reedsville has a number one seed and will host Gillett. Other Division Five opening round regional games tonight include Sheboygan Lutheran home for Hustisford, Sheboygan Christian hosting Catholic Central of Burlington, Elkhart Lake/Glenbeulah entertaining Wausaukee, and Hilbert hosting Sevastopol.
In Division Three, Two Rivers travels to Ripon, Kiel hosts Sheboygan Falls, Chilton plays at Winneconne, and Denmark entertains Clintonville, while in Division Two, Sheboygan South hosts Pulaski.
