The Sheboygan Area School District is looking to hear from residents regarding the sale of a piece of property.
The district will be holding a public input session during the March 10th Board of Education meeting regarding the sale of approximately 2.93 acres of land, located at the corner of Bell Avenue and North 13th Street.
This land was the playground and baseball diamond area of Washington Elementary School, which has since been turned into the Washington School Apartments.
Back in the fall of 2025, SASD began accepting proposals for the purchase of this land, and now, they are ready to make a decision on who gets the land; however, they are looking to hear comments from the public beforehand.
As of now, the district has received proposals of purchase from Flawless Hoops, Gorman and Company, and Habitat for Humanity Lakeside. Prior to the Board of Education input session next week, those looking to learn more about each proposal can do so online by visiting sheboygan.k12.wi.us.
The input session will be held at 6:30 p.m. inside the SASD Administrative Building located at 3330 Stahl Road.
