The DATCP is partnering with the University of Wisconsin–Madison Division of Extension for a series of biosecurity workshops.
These no-cost, hands‑on workshops are designed to help veterinarians, livestock producers, and others strengthen their on‑farm and on-site biosecurity practices and protect animal health.
Participants will learn practical strategies to defend animals from disease by managing movement to, within, and from their operations.
Each session will guide attendees through drafting a premises map, which is an essential tool for emergency response and day‑to‑day biosecurity planning.
The first workshop will be in Dodgeville on March 16th, followed by Jefferson on March 23rd, Medford on March 30th, and finally Green Bay on March 31st.
The exact location of the Green Bay workshop was not noted, and additional workshops are being planned for the Menomonie, Spooner, and Tomah areas.
