A new event introduced by the Sheboygan Police Department has been deemed a major success.
This past Sunday (February 22nd), the Sheboygan Police Department held its first-ever Skate with a Cop event at the Sheboygan Lakers Ice Center in the City.
The department has said that despite it being the first time on the ice for many in attendance, some of their officers included, it was a blast that was truly successful.
Through the few tumbles and Bambi on ice moments, the officers and Sheboygan residents were able to share in their laughter and learning moments.
SPD also said that nearly 100 children and family members showed up to the rink to hit the ice and grow closer to those who serve the community.
To close, the Sheboygan Police Department said, gratefully, “We’re already looking forward to lacing up again next year and continuing this new Sheboygan tradition. See you on the ice!”
