There are new weight limits on some Manitowoc County roads.
County Highway Commissioner Greg Grotegut explains that starting March 2nd, the weight limits will affect County Trunk J from US Highway 151 to County Trunk C, along with County Highway V from County Highway T to Interstate 43.
Other county highways could also be added if issues arise. Grotegut explained that the suspension of normal weight limits is due to unstable conditions of the roadways’ sub-grades created by the spring season frost melt.
