A thieving duo in Appleton was identified after they attempted to sell their ill-gotten goods online.
The Appleton Police Department was dispatched to an unspecified business on a report of a retail theft.
It was learned that the duo had stolen multiple pairs of high-end sunglasses worth an estimated $3,428.
Staff were able to describe the male and female team as the same individuals who had stolen from them in the past, and provided a license plate number.
The staff also believed the merchandise was being resold online, and the investigators were able to locate sellers matching the description.
Police have yet to contact the duo, but charges of Felony Retail Theft have been referred to the District Attorney’s Office.
