A division of the Sheboygan Police Department is reflecting upon its second year in operation.
2025 served as just the second year for the Sheboygan Police Department’s Victim Services division, which showed substantial progress in helping those victimized throughout the community.
In total, 163 victims were served, with the most coming in quarter four, while the number of services provided reached 1,134.
Of the crime victimization types Victim Services helped, the overwhelming majority, or 66.4% related to domestic violence.
Physical assault at 11.4% was second, adult sexual assault third, and stalking fourth.
While reflecting on their work over the past year, SPD Victim Services said, “While we’re proud of the progress this program has made in the 2 years of its existence at the SPD, we recognize that the numbers only tell part of the story. The real impact comes from the partnership and community connections happening every day.”
The Victim Services division in Sheboygan was created in partnership with the International Association for Chiefs of Police through grant funding to support victims of crime.
