Some Marquette University students are unhappy with the school’s spring commencement speaker.
Marquette announced an AI expert named Chris Duffey would be serving as the guest speaker for the graduation ceremony at the end of the semester.
Some students told the Journal Sentinel it goes against Marquette’s Jesuit mission, while others believe AI has had a negative impact on the job market.
The newspaper said one student mentioned how they were told not to use AI, and now “it’s being shoved” in their face for graduation.
