Local artists are once again being invited to compete for a shot to take part in an annual music series in Sheboygan.
The John Michael Kohler Arts Center is again calling for local bands and duos to apply for Get the Gig 2026, with the ultimate prize of taking the stage during this summer’s Levitt AMP Sheboygan Music Series.
Get the Gig is a battle of the bands-style competition, allowing musical acts to show the judges what they are capable of.
Get the Gig will take place on May 14th at Paradigm Coffee and Music in Downtown Sheboygan. Submissions for Get the Gig are due no later than 11:50 p.m. on March 27th, and finalists to compete at Get the Gig will be notified on April 7th.
On what this annual competition means, the JMKAC said, “Get the Gig is designed to spotlight emerging local talent and strengthen Sheboygan’s vibrant live music scene by creating meaningful performance opportunities for regional artists.”
Interested local musicians can learn more and apply online by visiting jmkac.org.
The Levitt Amp Sheboygan Music Series will be held every Thursday at City Green in Downtown Sheboygan, beginning June 25th.
