Manitowoc Public Utilities was called into action yesterday after several neighborhoods on the west side of the city reported low water pressure.
At 5:20 p.m., MPU responded to a large watermain break in the area of Kellner Street and the neighborhoods stretching from Fleetwood Drive to just south of Oaktree Court.
Crews quickly began working on the problem, leading to a water outage in that area at 6:30 p.m.
It was initially estimated that the outage would last until 10:30 p.m., but the MPU team was able to get water flowing again by 9:00 p.m.
MPU thanked the community for their patience.
