The next court date has been set for a Two Rivers man charged with sexually assaulting a child.
Court records show that 27-year-old Andrew J. Mueller was present inside a Manitowoc County courtroom on Monday (February 23rd) for his initial appearance as he faces two felony counts of Second-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child.
At that hearing, Mueller and his legal counsel waived the reading of the criminal complaint and demanded a preliminary hearing, to which the court obliged.
Mueller was originally arrested in connection with two incidents that occurred on November 20th and December 23rd of last year.
Despite there being limited details available regarding the case, court records show that the victim of the assaults was just 13 years old at the time of each incident.
Mueller will now return to court for his preliminary hearing tomorrow (February 26th) at 10:30 a.m. in Branch 2.
Until then, he remains in custody at the Manitowoc County Jail on a $5,000 cash bail.
