A Janesville man is facing a long prison sentence for allegedly sexually assaulting a child.
Records show David Edmondson appeared in Rock County court last week on a charge of sexual assault of a child under 13.
Police began investigating after the child made a report at school, and then the Janesville Police Department interviewed the victim.
Court documents show Edmondson was given a $50,000 cash bond and could be sentenced to up to 60 years in prison if convicted.
