Frozen meatball products have been recalled across the nation.
The Food and Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has announced that nearly 10,000 pounds of Bremer brand Family Size Italian Style Meatballs are subject to the recall as they may contain fragments of metal.
The recalled items were sold in 32-ounce bags with a best-by date of 10/30/26 and bearing the establishment number EST. 4286B.
The Bremer meatballs were shipped and sold at Aldi supermarket locations nationwide, including in Wisconsin.
The issue was discovered when the FSIS received a consumer complaint stating the found metal fragments inside their meatballs.
However, at this time, there have been no confirmed reports of injuries due to the consumption of the now-recalled products.
Anyone in possession of the meatballs is urged not to eat them but throw them out or return them to their place of purchase.
Additional information on the recall, as well as product labels of the items in question, can be found online by visiting fsis.usda.gov.
