The longtime coach of the Two Rivers swim teams has been honored by the Wisconsin Athletic Directors Association (WADA).
Karnie Goessl was named the recipient of the 2025-2026 WADA Service Award, which is bestowed upon those who have gone above and beyond in exemplary service for their school district.
Goessl has worked at the high school for 25 years, and has spent 24 of those as the varsity swim coach.
She also spent 15 years as the athletic secretary.
The Two Rivers Public School District thanked Goessl for her years of dedication, saying, “The time, care, and consistency you have given to our students and programs have not gone unnoticed. You have approached your work with integrity, always keeping what is best for students at the center. The influence of your leadership will continue to shape our athletic program and school culture for years to come.”
