
Three local students have received full-tuition scholarships to attend Lakeland University.
Lakeland has announced its 12th annual class of Sheboygan County Scholars, a program that aims to retain the area’s most promising and talented young individuals.
This year’s class includes Bryn Adams and Aaron Cortez of Sheboygan North High School and Tessa Schmidt of Howards Grove High School.
On what the Sheboygan County Scholars Program means, Lakeland stated, “The program fosters the intellectual development, professional networking, and leadership skills of the next generation of Sheboygan County’s corporate, professional, and civic leaders.”
Schmidt plans on majoring in exercise science at the university, with her eyes set on being accepted into the Palmer College of Chiropractic.
Cortez hopes to study business while also playing on the Muskies’ men’s soccer team.
Adams will also be a Muskies student athlete, joining the women’s basketball team while pursuing a degree in marketing, emphasizing in digital marketing.
