It was senior night as the Roncalli girls basketball team took on Two Rivers to close out the regular season.
In the final game before the postseason, the Jets hung on to beat the Raiders 41-37.
The game would start off slow as both sides grew into the contest, and things stayed close through the entire first half.
Despite some early turnovers, Roncalli would push forward and enter the break up 19-15.
The Jets flew out of the gates to open the second and found themselves up by as many as 14 halfway through the second period. But credit is due to Two Rivers, who battled back to cut the lead to just 1 with less than two minutes to go.
But with less than a minute to play, Roncalli sophomore Bailey Keller would step to the free-throw line on consecutive possessions and knock down 3 of her 4 foul shots to seal the game for the Jets.
Roncalli was led on offense by senior Madison Keller, who finished with a game-high 12 points, while the Jets’ second senior, Josie Stock, netted 5 to get the win on senior night.
Roncalli finishes the regular season at 2-22, 2-12 in the EWC.
Two Rivers finishes at 6-18, 2-12 in conference.
The Raiders will now play at Wrightstown in round one of the Division Three playoffs, while Roncalli has a short trip to Valders in Division Four.
