Manitowoc County is reallocating money for the Human Services Department.
The County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to convert positions for two employees for the Coordinated Services Team and the Children’s Long-Term Support team to continue to support the mission of the Family Resiliency Unit.
The resolution passed also explains that the position changes will increase the amount of funding received from the state and lower the county’s tax levy impact.
The county also made changes in the 2026 budget to keep the employees full-time.
Personnel Committee Chair Susie Maresh also said the change will help save money in the Human Services Department, which has previously had a deficit.
