The price for a home in Manitowoc County rose significantly in January.
According to the January Home Sales Report from the Wisconsin Realtors Association, the median price for a home in Manitowoc County last month was $255,000, which is $32,000 higher than at the end of 2025.
That figure is also $35,000 higher than in January of last year.
Additionally, the number of homes sold dropped from 74 in December to 59 last month.
That does follow the trends from the past several years, with January 2025’s 56 homes sold down from the 89 sold in December 2024.
The WRA did note that the median price throughout the state remained relatively steady at $315,000, which is $1,250 lower than in December.
It is, however, $22,000 higher than January of last year.
The total number of homes sold throughout the state also dropped drastically.
3,484 people signed on the dotted line last month, which is just shy of 2,000 fewer than in December.
