An annual showcase of the agricultural industry is set to make its return this weekend.
Lakeshore College’s 4th annual Ag Discovery Day will take place tomorrow (February 21st) at the Cleveland Campus Agricultural Building.
The event is aimed at those ages 9 years or older and allows attendees to explore the world of agriculture through hands-on learning activities led by ag professionals.
Essential topics covered will include livestock care skills, physical examinations, common illness detection, and much more.
Ag Discovery Day will also offer the opportunity to complete the Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA), which is a national livestock quality assurance program designed for youth exhibitors.
Registration for the YQCA training will begin at 8:30 a.m., while the remainder of the workshop registrations will start at 10:00 a.m.
Ag Discovery Day will be free to attend, and those interested in learning more about the agricultural industry are encouraged to attend.
