A Fond du Lac woman charged in the death of her son will be arraigned next month.
Court records show that 51-year-old Tina Beauprey was back in court yesterday for her preliminary hearing, where a detective with the City of Fond du Lac Police Department testified about the incident in which a malnourished boy died at a hospital.
In their closing arguments, the state asked that Beauprey be bound over for trial, while the defense asked Fond du Lac County Judge Tricia Walker to dismiss the case.
Walker found probable cause and bound the 51-year-old for trial. An arraignment date was set for March 20th.
Beauprey faces one charge of neglecting a child, causing death, after the boy was taken to a hospital back on December 5th.
A criminal complaint alleges that her son weighed only 70 pounds and was dealing with health complications.
Police also say they found unopened heart medications that were reportedly found inside Beauprey’s home and were prescribed to be given to the victim every day.
