The Door County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents about a scam.
They have received several reports of attempted fraud in which DoorDash drivers received phone calls from someone claiming to be with the company’s support team, asking them to verify login credentials, direct deposit information, and other sensitive details.
DoorDash has been made aware of the scam, but the sheriff’s office has not received reports of fraud for DoorDash customers.
Door County deputies remind residents not to provide login credentials or banking information over the phone and to be cautious of unsolicited calls requesting personal or financial information.
If in doubt, residents can contact DoorDash directly through their app or online.
Questions and concerns can be directed to the Door County Sheriff’s Office by calling 920-746-2400.
