Manitowoc Police Chief Nick Reimer tells SeehaferNews.com that this shooting is being considered an isolated incident between known parties, and there is no danger to the public.
The victim has since been transported to a local medical facility with undisclosed injuries.
However, authorities are still searching for the suspect and investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
At this time, information regarding the incident remains limited, but Chief Reimer noted that the public can expect a news release later today.

The Manitowoc Police Department has confirmed they are investigating a shooting in that area.

We have received reports of a heavy police presence in the 1500 block of Madison Street in Manitowoc.
Madison Street is currently blocked off from South 14th Street to South 16th Street, with evidence markers scattered throughout that area.
