The driver who hit a Madison teen walking to school earlier this month is facing charges.
Kathleen Borgwardt was arrested and booked into Dane County Jail yesterday morning for negligent operation of a vehicle in connection to the deadly collision on February 5th.
Borgwardt is accused of hitting the teen on South Park Street, but the victim didn’t survive their injuries.
Police charged Borgwardt after determining speed was a factor in the collision, which followed interviewing witnesses and looking at surveillance video from businesses in the area.
