A GoFundMe has been created for the Chilton family who lost everything in a house fire over the weekend.
First responders were called to the home on Hickory Hills Road at 5:30 Saturday morning, where they found a fire had started in the basement and burned up through to the first floor.
The Chilton Fire Department noted that while they were able to extinguish the blaze, the family lost all of their belongings.
Many donations of clothing have already been collected for the family, but as the sister of the patriarch of the family noted on the GoFundMe, “they are now facing the overwhelming reality of starting over from scratch.”
She also said that “every bit of help will go directly toward helping them regain stability during this unimaginable time.”
