The next court date has been set for a Sheboygan murder suspect.
18-year-old Lawrence S. Buford was originally set to have his preliminary hearing last Wednesday (February 11th) as he faces charges of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, Attempted 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, Armed Robbery with Use of Force, and being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
However, that hearing was abruptly rescheduled the day of, with no explanation.
As of this morning, Buford’s preliminary hearing has been rescheduled for February 25th in Branch 2 at 3:30 p.m.
Buford, a Milwaukee resident, along with 19-year-old Onterio M. Girley, were arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Sheboygan on January 17th, which took the life of Joeseph Torres and severely injured an unnamed Sheboygan woman.
Girley will return to court on February 23rd for his own rescheduled preliminary hearing.
Buford remains in custody at the Sheboygan County Jail on a $1 million cash bail.
