The City of Manitowoc is appointing a new Assistant Chief of Police.
Captain Craig Jansen will be promoted to Assistant Chief of Police on March 21st.
Jansen has been with the Manitowoc Police since being hired as a Patrol Officer in March 2003 and has 33 years of professional experience.
Current Assistant Chief John Musial II explains that prior to working for the Manitowoc Police Department, Jansen worked for the Hazelwood Police Department in Missouri, where he also served two years as a detective.
The captain also has over five years of supervisory experience with the Manitowoc Police, working as a Patrol Lieutenant and Captain of Patrol.
