The City of Sheboygan wants residents’ input on their new Comprehensive Plan.
The plan is a community vision for the future and develops a long-range, 20-year plan to reach that vision.
There are several elements to the plan, including Community and Neighborhood Development, Public Health and Housing, Cultural Resources, Parks and Recreation, and others.
Sheboygan officials say participation and engagement of the community provides a range of viewpoints, local expertise, and a sense of contribution within the planning process.
Sheboygan officials finish by saying the collaboration results in a more sustainable, equitable, and vibrant community for all to enjoy.
Sheboygan is working with Bay Lake Regional Planning to develop the Comprehensive Plan, which started back in 2024 with phase one.
Phase two started in May last year, and phase three began last month and will continue until April, when the city council could vote to adopt it.
More information about the plan can be found on the Bay Lakes Regional Planning website.
