Girl wrestlers throughout Wisconsin begin their quest for a trip to Madison tonight with regional competition being held statewide.
In Mishicot, Two Rivers senior Angie Bianchi and her Raider teammates are among several teams competing in the Mishicot regional.
Bianchi is looking for a third straight state title, having defeated Emjay Neumann of Manitowoc Lincoln in the 120-pound final last year.
Neumann and The Ships are also in Mishicot with the host Indians, with Manitowoc Lutheran, Reedsville, Brillion, Denmark, and Kewaunee also looking to move wrestlers on to sectionals next Friday.
In Valders, the Vikings host a regional with the field that includes Chilton/Hilbert, Howards Grove/Elkhart Lake Glenbeulah, and New Holstein.
Sheboygan Falls, Sheboygan North, Sheboygan South, Plymouth, and Oostburg are in the Campbellsport regional, while Cedar Grove/Belgium and Random Lake compete in the Port Washington regional.
The top two finishers in each weight class advance to sectionals.
Wrestling at all sites begins at 5 p.m.
