The Manitowoc Law Firm of Kummer, Lambert, Fox, Glandt, and Nelson has been informed that someone is using its firm name and phone number to call individuals, claiming they are eligible for Social Security benefits, and requesting personal information.
They tell seehafernews.com that when they call people, their phone number shows up as spam, initially assuming it was a temporary issue.
The caller seems robotic, but the local law firm emphasizes that when they call clients with sensitive information, it’s always a human, and that they have no robotic systems making such requests on their behalf.
They are working with their technology teams and local law enforcement to determine how to remedy this and prevent it from happening again.
