Despite only being a part of the program for two years, the Manitowoc Warming Shelter is one of the top teams in the Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser.
According to the program’s scoreboard, 1,192 teams in 75 locations around the country have signed up to participate in the fundraiser aimed at helping those experiencing homelessness this year, including the Manitowoc Warming Shelter.
As of this morning, the Shelter has raised more than $4,580, which is the 7th most out of all of the participating teams.
Additionally, the 110 walkers signed up to participate are also the 7th most among all participating locations.
There are still 18 days left to contribute to the local fundraising effort.
