
An Appleton woman has been hospitalized following a stabbing incident early Sunday morning (February 8th).
Appleton Police were dispatched to a residence in the 1500 block of North Graceland Avenue just before 3:00 a.m. on a report of a disturbance involving a weapon.
There, they located a woman who had been stabbed in the face and chest, and she was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
Her injuries were deemed to be non-life-threatening.
The suspect, 51-year-old Rolando Valenzuela Barrera, was located a short time later, hiding in a dump trailer in the driveway of the residence.
He was arrested on a charge of Attempted Homicide, and he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest through Outagamie County for Failure to Appear.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing, and no additional details are being released at this time.
