A woman is dead following injuries she suffered in a Racine house fire.
Family members told TMJ4 News Sandra Aranda passed away days after last Tuesday’s fire left her in a coma.
The blaze started in her family’s 2nd-story apartment, and she had to be flown to the hospital for treatment.
Loved ones noted the smoke inhalation was bad enough to cause swelling in the 21-year-old’s brain, ultimately leaving her brain dead.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family in the wake of Sandra’s passing.
