
A group of Milwaukee residents helped teach people how to demonstrate peacefully should federal immigration police come to Brew City.
The Milwaukee Area Labor Council’s Immigrant Rights Committee held a Protest Marshal Training session yesterday to keep protesters safe should they express their concerns in public.
The dozen who showed up learned how to stop traffic, keep people in line, and use de-escalation tactics. One official told CBS58 it’s all part of being able to exercise First Amendment Rights and keep people safe at the same time.
This as some residents grow concerned over the potential of ICE coming to Milwaukee.
