
A woman was arrested after a man was shot in Manitowoc.
The Manitowoc Police Department was called to the 2000 block of Johnston Drive, Lot #57, at 6:35 a.m. this morning (February 9th) after getting a call of someone shot in the ankles and bleeding.
Upon arrival, officers attempted to contact someone at the residence, but no one answered.
They would force entry into the home due to the seriousness of the call.
Once they got inside, they found a 35-year-old man with gunshot wounds to both his ankles.
He was treated at the scene and taken to a medical facility by Manitowoc Fire and Rescue.
The 29-year-old female suspect was arrested and charged with three counts of recklessly endangering safety, one count of disorderly conduct, and one count of resisting an officer.
MTPD says there is currently no threat to the public.
The incident is still under investigation by the Manitowoc Police Detective’s Bureau.
