The Algoma Venture Academy (AVA) & Area Education Foundation (AAEF) have announced the return of their annual Pickleball Tournament.
The event, now known as the Paddle by the Lake Pickleball Showdown, is scheduled for Saturday, February 21st at the Algoma Wellness Center.
The tournament is open to players of all skill levels, and the public is invited to come watch at no cost.
Spectators can enjoy the matches, concessions, and a silent auction run by AVA students featuring goods from local businesses, supporting student projects and scholarships.
Rayanne Johnson, the Marketing & Events Coordinator for AAEF, called the Paddle by the Lake Showdown, “A super casual, lively event with a dynamic duo costume contest, friendly competition, and plenty of laughs, all while raising funds to support our local students.”
