An instructor at Lakeshore College’s Culinary Institute of America has been recognized for making a difference outside the college classroom.
Amanda Weber received the 2026 Dale P. Parnell Distinguished Faculty Award, making her the eighth faculty member to get it since the program began in 2018.
Weber’s experience spans New York City kitchens and Destination Kohler’s five-star resort, where she transformed real-world expertise into engaging, student-centered instruction.
She’s also the co-owner of Arrosto Delicatessen in Sheboygan, advises the Culinary Club, and participates in Lakeshore’s 2024-2025 Leadership Institute.
She was also selected by the Wisconsin Realtors Association as one of the “Top 20 Women in Hospitality to Watch.”
Lakeshore College President Dr. Paul Carlson says Weber, “opens her labs and organizes peer study groups, so students have a place to practice, ask questions, and feel supported. Chef Amanda meets students where they are and helps them imagine what is possible.”
He finished by saying that faculty nationwide are nominated for the Dale P. Parnell Distinguished Faculty Award, and that Lakeshore College educators are recognized as both a privilege and a testament to their outstanding talent and unwavering commitment to students.
