Changes are set to be made to how elections are held in the City of Plymouth.
Beginning with the spring election in April, the City will transition to Badger Books, an electronic poll book system, and move away from traditional paper ballots.
Badger Books aims to accomplish quicker check-ins and election day registrations, faster processing of absentee ballots, and improve data quality by minimizing poll worker errors.
Plymouth joins a large number of municipalities around the state adopting the electronic poll book during the 2026 election cycle to create an overall streamlined election day and voting experience.
While this is a major change for many longtime voters, the City of Plymouth will be holding two Badger Books open houses to help voters better understand the transition, as well as address any questions or concerns residents may have.
Both open houses will be held on March 10th at City Hall, with the first running from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., and the second will follow from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
