A Trempealeau County plant is preparing to lay off 86 of its workers.
The Associated Milk Producers, Inc. Cheese Plant in Blair is transitioning from being a producer of cheddar cheese to being a producer of cottage cheese.
Layoffs are expected to remain in place until early next year with the completion of that transition.
