Thanks to some state funding, a new early childhood education program is coming to Sheboygan County.
The Get Kids Ready program will kick off in July, giving children who are 4 years old by September 1st the opportunity to receive a solid foundation for kindergarten in a nurturing environment.
The Sheboygan County Childcare Coalition says the free 4K program will “eliminate the challenges of bus rides or tricky transportation schedules, ensuring a seamless transition for children from early care to their next step on their educational journey.”
Through Get Kids Ready, qualified childcare educators will focus on academic, physical, social-emotional, self-help skills, and communication and cognition, providing parents with a comprehensive solution that meets the diverse needs of families in Sheboygan County and throughout Wisconsin.
Space is limited, so parents are encouraged to sign up at DCF.Wisocnsin.gov/GetKidsReady.
